iot-3337536_1920A recent article in the Hosting Tribunal cited that 94% of companies are already using a cloud service in some capacity, with a projected 83% of workloads to be cloud-based by the end of this year. 

There are many objective benefits offered by cloud computing, from elasticity to cost savings. However, while the cloud is meant to be user-friendly and easily spun up, its many configuration options are daunting. It is a space of infinite options and its rapid and wide-spread implementation has left many to learn by doing; those new to the cloud too often miss basic cloud computing principles.
