Things have been heating up this month for Fuel's chapters! With several chapter meetings this month around the globe, two new European chapters in the works, and a full calendar for the coming weeks, the Fuel community has been busy connecting in person and sharing insights on how to maximize their Palo Alto Network technology.
In Seattle, partners, customers, and employees met at the Boeing Aviation Museum for the first Seattle User Group meeting. John Harrison of Palo Alto Networks led a presentation on threat best practices, showing attendees both basic and advanced ways that their security stance can be improved with minor tweaks and how-tos. Attendees also discussed Panorama and the new release of PAN-OS 7.0, with an interactive discussion and Q&A. Fuel members liked hearing about new features (like DNS Sink Hole) and were ready to implement some of the proposed threat prevention changes in their own environments.
After the event, Seattle attendees were able to wander around the museum, and some lucky attendees even got passes to ride the simulators. "But mostly," said chapter leader Bob Pelletier, "members were there to meet community, network with each other, and hear from the experts at Palo Alto Networks about a couple of highly interesting topics."
Fuel's Wellington User Group also met for the second month running, this time at Avida Featherson Street. Members were able to connect with other expert users in the area and engage in an open discussion with Palo Alto Networks experts. A happy hour at the end of the event allowed attendees to unwind, network, and share insights with one another before heading home.
We are excited to announce two new chapters in the Fuel Community, the Turkey User Group and Russia User Group. We encourage Fuel members in these regions to join now and begin connecting with other security experts!
