August Chapter Recap: Tips for Leveraging the Entire Security Platform

Posted by Fuel HQ on Aug 13, 2015 3:35:00 PM

The first week of August was a busy week for the Fuel community, as chapters in Wellington and Minneapolis each invited members to connect in person for local chapter meetings. August 4th marked the first ever meeting for the Wellington chapter, drawing out a small but enthusiastic group of Palo Alto Networks users to talk about pressing issues in their security platform.

Chapter_Post-_wellington_and_minneapolis-1Fuel members in Minneapolis came out as well on August 6th for a robust discussion on leveraging the Palo Alto Networks system. Chapter leader and Palo Alto Networks engineer Mike Lutgen gave a presentation called "Leveraging the Entire Security Platform: Top 15 Threat Prevention Tips" that prompted questions and excitement from the Minneapolis crowd. "This had a lot of people asking questions and very engaged," Lugten said. "It was about using the product you already have in a better, more secure way.

Some highlights of the presentation include leveraging the Application Command Center, making the most out of file blocking, using URL filtering in PAN-DB, and 12 other valuable ways to ensure that you're using your Palo Alto Networks tool in the most comprehensive and effective way.

You can find this presentation in the Fuel Resources library. Join in the discussion by sharing your thoughts and questions in the forums, or commenting below.
